| Obituary- Murphy, Adeline Adeline Murphy
ROSSVILLE —Adeline Irene Murphy, 85, Rossville, died Friday, Sept. 7,2001, at a Rossville nursing home.
Mrs. Murphy had been a maid for 13 years before she retired.
She was born Feb. 7,1916, in Loup City, Neb., the daughter of Harry Everett and Gertrude Maude ,Gray Gregg. She moved to Topeka from Nebraska in 1966. She moved to Rossville in 1992.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene.
She married Kenneth Wilson in 1942 in Ord, Neb. They were divorced. She later married William Murphy in June 1963 at Grand Island, Neb. He died in 1963. Mrs. Murphy also was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Freeze, in 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Hale, Lawrence; a son, Dennis Wilson, Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Roy Gregg, Boelus, Neb.; two sisters, Thelma Wrehe, Grand Island, Neb., and Hazel Kieborz, Ord, Neb.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka. Mrs. Murphy will lie in state after 4 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.
