    JAMES E. MURPHY
    James E. Murphy, 78, died Wednesday at his home in Rossville. He was born August 20, 1872, in Big Springs. He made his home in Douglas County until he moved to Rossville five years ago. He was a member of the Big Springs Catholic church.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dora Murphy of the home; four sons John Murphy, Modesto, Calif., Michael and Eugene Murphy, both of Settle, Wash., and George Murphy, Stull, Kan., two daughters, Mrs. Ann Aiderman, St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Mary Hayes, Hawthorn, Calif.; nine grand children, two great-grand, children; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lavin and Mrs. Winifred Biddinger, both of Stull and a brother, William Murphy, Stull.

    The funeral will be at the Big Springs, Friday, July 26.
