Both are popular young people living a few miles northwest of town--the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lemon and the bride has made her home for several years past with her uncle, Mr. Kennett. The Reporter joins their many friends in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous wedded life.
  		Anniversary- Lemon, Cecil and Anna Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon were pleasantly surprised last Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Charley Lemon, where relatives gathered to help them celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. A covered dish luncheon was served cafeteria style. Mr. and Mrs. Lemon were presented with two sets of silver ware. The following relatives and friends were present: Mr. and Mrs. James Lee and sons, of Axtel, Ks., Mr. and Mrs. John Lee and sons of Vermilon; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Holder and children of Soldier; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee and family of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Troy Lemon. Miss Frances Whittington, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Carrol of Manhattan; Mrs. Dora Lee of Topeka; Miss Alice Lemon. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon and children.

  Obituary- Lemon, Clyde Clyde Lemon Clyde Lemon, 82, Des Moines, IA, died of a heart ailment Saturday, February 22, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines. He was born in Rossville, and had lived in Des Moines 30 years. He was a candy salesman with various companies before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War Il and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He also was a member of Izaak Walton League and had served as a chapter president. Mr. Lemon is survived by his wife, Helen; four stepsons, Jim Glanz, New York City, NY, Greg Glanz, Des Moines, Bob Glanz, St. Louis, and Bill Glanz, Alexandria, VA; a sister, Dorothy McDonald, Sunrise Beach, MO; three grand-children and seven stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anita VandeVelde, and other relatives. The family received friends Monday at Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines. His service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday (this morning), at Christ Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Des Moines.
