    Mr. Cecil Lemon and Miss Anna Lee were united in marriage by the probate judge in his office at Topeka Wednesday morning. Both are popular young people living a few miles northwest of town--the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lemon and the bride has made her home for several years past with her uncle, Mr. Kennett.

    The Reporter joins their many friends in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous wedded life.

    Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon were pleasantly surprised last Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Charley Lemon, where relatives gathered to help them celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. A covered dish luncheon was served cafeteria style. Mr. and Mrs. Lemon were presented with two sets of silver ware. The following relatives and friends were present: Mr. and Mrs. James Lee and sons, of Axtel, Ks., Mr. and Mrs. John Lee and sons of Vermilon; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Holder and children of Soldier; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lee and family of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Troy Lemon. Miss Frances Whittington, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Carrol of Manhattan; Mrs. Dora Lee of Topeka; Miss Alice Lemon. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lemon and children.

    Donald L. Lemon
    PERRY — Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Theresa s Catholic Church here for Donald L. Lemon, 67, St. Peters, Mo., a former Topekan, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20. 1990, at a St Charles, Mo., hospital.

    Mr. Lemon was a cattle buyer for John Morrell & Co., before he retired in 1982.

    He was born Oct. 20. 1922, in Rossville, the son of Cecil and Anna Lee Lemon. He lived in Topeka until 1952 when he moved to Sioux City, Iowa. He also lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., LeMars, Iowa, and St, Louis, Mo.

    Mr. Lemon was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City, Iowa, Sts. Joachim and Ann Church in St. Louis, Mo., Eagles Lodge, and American Legion. He was a former member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 534 in Topeka.

    Mr. Lemon was a veteran of World War II. having served in the U.S. Air Force.

    He was married to Mary Regina Quinlan June 1, 1945, in Perry. She died Jan. 20, 1969.

    Survivors include two sons, Robert Lemon, St Louis, Mo., and Michael Lemon, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Quinlan- Reed, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mary Pat Rolfes, St. Peters, Mo..; a brother, Clyde Lemon, Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Anita VandeVelde, St. Marys, and Dorothy McDonald, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in the Newman community west of Perry. Mr. Lemon will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Brennan Funeral Home in Topeka where parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital.
