    Pete Levier

    Pete Oliver Levier, 79, 1119 N. Central, died Saturday in a Wamego hospital where he had been a patient a week.

    He was born Dec. 16, 1891, at Wamego and spent most of his life in Mayetta and Topeka communities. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church west of Mayetta. He was a carpenter before he retired.

    He was married to the former Mary Moore. She survives.

    Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Rose Ann Bradford and Mrs. Vivian Crowder, both of Manhattan, Sharon Levier, Chicago, Mrs. Bernadette Lewis, Sonoma, Calif., and Mrs. Martha Spencer, at home; and five sons, Carl Levier, 806 Clay, Francis Levier, at home, Albert Levier and Anthony Levier, both of Manhattan, and Glenn Levier, San Antonio, Tex.

    Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Mulanax, rural Delia, Mrs. Betsy Mulanax, Holton; five brothers, Ernest Levier, Holton, Joseph Levier, Alfred Levier, and Abraham Levier, all of Manhattan, and Sylvester Levier, Colorado; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church west of Mayetta. Burial will be in Ship Shee Cemetery west of Mayetta. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Snows. Mercer Funeral Home at Holton is in charge of arrangements.
