    RICHARD LEE LEWMAN
    Richard Lee Lewman, 72, Delia, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

    He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Brown County, Kan., the son of Leroy and Mary Spiker Lewman.

    Mr. Lewman retired from the State of Kansas in 1996. He was a former member of Local No. 165. He served in the Army National Guard from 1953 until 1957. Richard belonged to the Potawatomi Pentecostal Church.

    He married Veradean Haas on April 21, 1968. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Nikki Lewman, Lawrence; two daughters and a son from a previous marriage; two sisters, Cora Harkens and Rhonda Culp both in Arizona.

    He was preceded in death by his son Gary Lewman, his parents and a brother.

    Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Potawatomi Pentecostal Church, four and one-half miles west of Highway 75 on 134th St.

    Mr. Lewman will be cremated after the funeral service. He will lie in state and the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys.
