John Liebhardt, 94, Rossville, died Thursday, July 8, 1982, at a St. Marys nursing home.
He was born October 14, 1887, in Hungary, and immigrated to the United States when he was 17 years old. He lived in Philadelphia, Pa., for two years, then moved to Provo, Utah, in 1909. He was a naturalized U.S. citizen.
Mr. Liebhardt was an upholsterer for the State of Utah for 50 years. He retired in 1959, when he was 72 years old. He moved to Rossville in 1975.
He was a member of First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Topeka.
His first wife, Mrs. Bertha Liebhardt, died in 1955. He married Josephine Wilson Miller December 28, 1957, at Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, John M. Liebhardt, Cedar City, Utah, and Edward N. Liebhardt, Houston, Tex.; a stepson, Thomas G. Liebhardt, Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and eight great- great-grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Topeka. Burial was in Provo City Cemetery, Provo, Utah. Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, was in charge of Kansas arrangements.
