Mrs. Myrtle Lillard, 93, Rossville, died Sunday, July 22, 1979, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born April 14, 1886, at St. Marys, the daughter of William and Barbara Stovall Marney. She lived most of her life in the Rossville area.
She was married to James M. Lillard at Rossville on April 18, 1906. He died in 1951.
She was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, the Countryside Club, the Golden Agers, and was a charter member of the Jimmy Lillard American Legion Post 31 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Short, St. Marys, and Mrs. Margie Hoobler, Rossville, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Lillard, who died in service in France in 1944, and a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Wymore, who died in 1974.
Services will be Tuesday (this afternoon) at 2:00 at the Rossville United Methodist Church with interment in Rossville Cemetery under direction of Verschelden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Methodist Church or to the Jimmy Lillard American Legion Post 31 at Rossville.
