  Obituary- Lloyd, Jacob C. Jacob Lloyd Jacob C. Lloyd was born in the state of Iowa on the 21st day of May 1869. He came to Kansas in 1870 with his parents and settled in McPherson county. In 1884 he came to Shawnee county, where he resided ever since. He was united in marriage at the age of 21 to Miss Carrie V. Sherretts, and settled on a farm near Willard where they have since lived until about a month ago when they moved to the city of Willard, where he came to his death Feb. 28, 1922, from heart failure. To this union were born 9 children of whom six survive him. He leaves to mourn his departure his widow, Mrs. Carrie Lloyd, two daughters, four sons, two son-in-laws one daughter-in-law two granddaughters and four brothers, one residing in Iowa, one in Washington and two in Kansas. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church, at Willard, Thursday, March 2, conducted by W.V. hook, of Rossville and the body was interred in the Valencia cemetery. [From 9 Mar 1922]
