| Marriage- Miller, Ruth-Lloyd, Cecil WEST UNION NOTES
Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Miller of Silver Lake announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Cecil E. Lloyd, also of Silver Lake. The wedding took place Saturday evening, December 19, at the residence of Rev. G. G. Horne, in Topeka, who read the marriage service. Miss Violet McRoberts of Topeka and Mr. John Miller of Silver Lake were the attendants. The wedding music was furnished by Mr. George Horne.
The bride wore a light navy wool suit with white satin blouse. Her peaked turban was of matching blue and her flowers a shoulder corsage of pink roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd are both graduates of the Rossville high school. They will make their home on a farm southwest of Willard after the first of the year.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brooks, and Mrs. L. G. Stewart of Oklahoma City are spending the holidays in this community. The former with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Brooks at Willard and the latter with her daughter, Mrs. W. Miller and other relatives.

| Obituary- Lloyd, Ruth Ruth T. Lloyd
Mrs. Ruth T. Lloyd, 29, of 2058 VanBuren, Topeka, died Sunday night in a Topeka hospital.
She was born in the state of Washington, January 31, 1914, lived at Willard sixteen years and had been a resident of Topeka one year.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil E. Lloyd, and two sons, Edward and James all of the home; by her parents, W.P. Miller, now in Washington, and Mrs. W.P. Miller, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Marzine Finch Fairbanks, Iowa; and Miss Rita Miller, Topeka; and by three brothers, Stewart Miller, Holton and Wayne and Robert Miller in Washington.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Lillian Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brooks of Oklahoma City, arrived Tuesday called by the death of their relative, Mrs. Ruth Lloyd of Topeka.
Mr. and Mrs. George Hahn of Holton, were called here yesterday because of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Lloyd.
The following from Rossville were in Topeka Monday to attend the funeral service of Mrs. Ruth Lloyd; Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Parr, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis, Mrs. Gussie Ishmael, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis, Mrs. Gertrude Wallace, Mrs. Jessie Parr, Miss Grace White, Mrs. Bernita Nidiffer, Miss Leona Hayes, Mrs. Bert Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harth.

Bill Miller and son Robert of Bremerton, Wash., arrived in Topeka Saturday called by the sudden death of Mrs. Ruth Lloyd, Mr. Miller’s daughter.
