Mr. and Mrs. Chester Lutz, Holton and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lutz, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversaries with a double reception from 2-5 p.m., Sept. 29 at the Holiday Inn West, Topeka. Hosts for the occasion will be their children and families: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lutz, Holton; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lutz, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Ronal Lutz, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Karl Simecka, Boulder City, Nev.; and MR. and Mrs. Jack Wallace Topeka.
Ethel Sumner and Chester Lutz were married Sept. 14, 1935, in Holton. They lived in the Delia-Mayetta community for 35 years, before moving to Holton in 1970.
Garnet Wood and Lester Lutz were married July 10, 1935, in Lyndon. They lived in the Delia-Mayetta community until 1970, when they moved to Silver Lake.
The couples request no gifts.

Lester Lutz
Lester Lutz, 74, Silver Lake, died Thursday, March 31, 1988, at his home. Mr. Lutz was born April 4, 1913, at Holton, the son of John F. and Carrie Elizabeth Montgomery Lutz.
Mr. Lutz had lived in the Delia area until 18 years ago, when he moved outside of Silver Lake. The Lutzes moved into Silver Lake one year ago.
Mr. Lutz graduated from Denison High School in 1931. He was a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church.
Mr. Lutz was a farmer and stockman.
He was married to Garnet M. Wood in Lyndon, 52 years ago. She survives at home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joyce A. Simecka, Boulder City, Nev., and Carol E. Wallace, Topeka; two brothers, his twin, Chester Lutz, Holton, and Oscar Lutz, Mayetta; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the Parker- Price Mortuary with the Reverend Eric Deeter officiating. Interment was in the Delia Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
