| Obituary- Lysek, Valen Valen Lysek
DELIA – Valen Lysek, 79, Delia, died Thursday at his home. He had an apparent heart attack.
He was born Feb. 14, 1891, in Jackson County, and was a retired farmer. He was married in 1919 at Topeka to Lizzie Bravence, who survives at home.
Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Rezac, St. Marys, Mrs. Agnes Hafner, 1505 N. Kansas, Lorraine Lysek, 3637 S.E. US-40, and Mrs. Josephine Koci, Rt. 9, all of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Hladky and Julia Lysek, both of Rossville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will be in the Czech Moravian Cemetery, north of Rossville.
Heart attack is fatal to V. Lysek
Services were held Saturday from the Verschelden Funeral Home for Valen Lysek, 79, of Delia, who died shortly after suffering a heart attack at his home Thursday.
He was born Feb. 14, 1891, in Jackson County, and in 1919 was married in Topeka to Lizzie Bravence, who survives at the home.
Mr. Lysek was a retired farmer.
Besides his widow, he leaves four daughters: Mrs. Elsie Rezac, St. Marys; Mrs. Agnes Hafner, Miss Lorraine Lysek, and Mrs. Josephine Koci, all of Topeka; two sisters: Mrs. Annie Hladky, and Miss Julia Lysek, both of Rossville; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Czech Moravian Cemetery, north of Rossville.
