    wedding anniversary
    Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mitchell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner held Sunday, July 1, at their home. The couple's eight children and their families were present for the occasion.

    Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell were married at Alma on June 23. Hi06, and have lived most of their married site in the Maple Hill and Rossville communities. Mr. Mitchell is a retired farmer. There are 26 grand children and six great grandchildren.

    Members of the family present for the dinner were: Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mitchell and family of Circleville. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Polson of Holton, Mrs. Ruby Adams and daughter from Idaho.     ON 54th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
    Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell were honored guests at a dinner Sunday in celebration of their 54th wedding anniversary.

    The dinner was given at the home of Mrs. Roxie Nadeau.     Juanita C. Poison
    ROSSVILLE — Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Piper Funeral Chapel here tor Juanita C. Mitchell Poison, 87, Rossville, who died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at a hospital in St. Marys.
    She was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Maple Hill, to George and Ethel Lister Mitchell. She lived in the Holton community many years and in the Rossville community since 1970.
    She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Rossville.
    She was married to Ellis R. Poison Oct. 4, 1928, in Seneca. He died Oct. 28, 1970. A granddaughter also preceded her in death.
    Survivors include daughters, Tina Olejnik, Rossville, and Greta Olejnik, Holton; a brother, Ted Mitchell, Rossville; sisters, Velda O'Donnell, Paxico, Sylvia Britt, Rossville, Elvara Olejnik, Delia, Roxie Banta, Silver Lake, and Ruby Adams, Portland, Ore.; a grandson; tour grand¬daughters; four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
    Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. Mrs. Poison will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home in Rossville where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Rossville, 66533.

    Juanita C. Polson
    Juanita C. Polson, 87, Rossville, died Friday, October 23, 1998, at the Community Hospital in St. Marys.
    She was born September 11, 1911, in Maple Hill, the daughter of George and Ethel Lister Mitchell. She had lived in the Rossville community since November 1970.
    Mrs. Polson was a homemaker. She lived in the Holton community for many years. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church.
    On October 4, 1928, she was married to Ellis R. Polson in Seneca. He died October 28, 1970. She was also predeceased by a brother, Glen Mitchell, and a granddaughter.
    Surviving her are two daughters, Tina Olejnik, Rossville, and Greta Olejnik, Holton; one brother, Ted Mitchell, Rossville; five sisters, Velda O’Donnell, Paxico, Sylvia Britt, Rossville, Elvara Olejnik, Delia, Roxie Banta, Silver Lake, and Ruby Adams, Portland, OR; one grandson, four grand-daughters, four great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
    A family visitation was held Monday evening at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville.
    Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday (this afternoon) at Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Presbyterian Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
