    David R. Feltner
    David R. Feltner, 67, of Topeka, died September 12, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
    He was born in Dexter, Missouri on March 23, 1947, the son of Brady and Ina (Boone) Feltner. He graduated from Waynesville High School in 1965.
    David proudly served his country in Vietnam and various other Air Force locations. He completed his educational degree while stationed at Elgin AFB in Florida. He was a member of the American Legion Capitol Post #1 where he enjoyed assisting with their BINGO activities.
    David enjoyed playing softball for many years and also was an umpire.
    He was employed by KPL for 30 years and his last position was as Director of Customer Billing prior to his retirement in 1994.
    He married Melinda M. Ramirez on November 22, 1969 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Topeka. She survives along with his five daughters, Raquel Barajas (Jr.) of Topeka, Patricia Kirk (Brad) of Rossville, Rebecca Feilner (Gordon Bright) of Killeen, TX., Rose Abrahams (Bradley) of Silver Lake, Mary Feltner of Topeka, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by four sisters, Judy Carroll (Richard), Mary Warden, Ina Adkison (Dale), Jeani Wilson, and three brothers, Brady Feltner (Janet), Joe Feltner (Joyce) and James Feltner.
    David’s family will receive friends at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. with a memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Francis Oncology Department and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
