    Mrs. Alta Owens
    Mrs. Alta M. Owens, 75, 4108 Emland Drive, died Saturday morning in a local nursing
    home after a long illness.

    She was born May 19, 1899, in
    Delia, and had lived in Topeka 52 years. She was a member of Central United Presbyterian Church.

    She was married to Joseph L. Owens on Nov. 19. 1919. He died May 20,1958.

    Survivors include a son, Bill L. Owens, Anchorage, Alaska: a sister, Mrs. Mildred Hargis, 4148 Enland Drive; a brother. Howard E. Houck, Rossville; and four grandchildren.

    Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
