    A reception in the Lecompton City Hall Sunday, April 20 will honor Mr. and Mrs. John Wyatt, Lecompton, who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 22. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 2 to 4 pm.

    Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt have lived in Lecompton the past 20 years and Mr. Wyatt has worked in Topeka most of his married life. They have 12 children, 40 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

    The reception will be given by
    their children and their families. The children are: Howard Wyatt, Wichita, Glen Wyatt, Bellevue, Neb.; Duane Wyatt, Lawrence; Mrs. Dale Farrell, Mrs. Al Nocktonick, Mrs. William Ostrander, Mrs. Loren Green, Mrs. Dan Schloetzer, Marion Wyatt, Lloyd Wyatt, James Wyatt, and Robert Wyatt.

    Mr. and Mrs. John Wyatt, Lecompton, will observe their golden wedding anniversary with a reception at the Lecompton city hall Sunday April 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Wyatts are former residents of Jackson county. They have 12 children, 40 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

    Helen “Loveign” Ostrander
    Helen “Loveign” Ostrander, 87, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, October 12,2014.

    She was born October 23, 1926 in Delia, Kansas, the daughter of John Robert and Flossie Mabel (Graham) Wyatt. She attended schools in Delia, KS. She was employed by Hallmark Cards and later retired from Josten’s Yearbook in Topeka. Loveign was a member of Elmont United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and held other offices, and member of United Methodist Women.

    Loveign married William A. “Bill” Ostrander on November 13,1943 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 28,1993. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda S. (Lonnie) Lawton, Lenexa, KS and Judy M. (Ed) Clutchey, Topeka; a son, David W. (Connie) Ostrander, Lawton, OK; seven grandchildren; llgreat-grandchildren; seven siblings, Bud Wyatt, Glen (Evelyn) Wyatt, Marian (Marion) Wyatt, Lloyd (Leota) Wyatt, Duane (Ruth) Wyatt, Dwight “Jimmy” Wyatt and Joyce Wyatt; sister-in-law, Doris Wyatt; sister-in-laws, Marie Rogers, Darlene Ostrander and Darlene Ostrander; brother-in-laws, Eugene “Gene” (Beverly) Ostrander and Ivan Ostrander; and over 60 nieces and nephews and their families.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Geneva Farrell, Margie Nocktonick and June Green and a brother, Howard Wyatt.

    A funeral ceremony will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont, KS.
