    Lawrence Franklin Page, 74, of this city, died at his home early Monday following a long illness.

    He was born in Jackson county near Holton, May 19, 1874, and had been a resident of Rossville community the last 47 years. He was a member of the Methodist church, of Hesperian lodge No. 111, A.F. and A.M. for 42 years, and of Modern Woodmen of America, all of Rossville.

    He was married on Dec. 7, 1898 at St. Clere, Kansas, and Dec. 7, 1948, Mr. and Mrs. Page would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Stella Page; three sons, Ralph F., of Rossville; Glenn A. and Dale H. of Topeka [,] two grandchildren, Dean and Phyllis Page of Rossville; two brothers, Nort and Bert of Greeley, Colo.; four sisters Mrs. Rose Myers of Rossville, Mrs. Alice Gideon and Mrs. May Sims of Newark, Ok., and Mrs. Cora Sorell of Denver.

    Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. E.E. Harbour officiating.

    Music was furnished by Mrs. Lorene Harth and Mrs. Alice Boyd accompanied by Mrs. Irene Campbell.

    Pallbearers were, Charley Berkley, F.P. McCollough, L.B. Crow, Sidney Stumbaugh, M.L. Whearty and George Fawl.

    The body was taken to St. Clere where graveside services were conducted by Hesperian lodge A.F. and A.M. of Rossville.

    Relatives and friends from out-of-town who were in Rossville, Wednesday to attend the funeral service of Frank Page were, Mrs. Mae Sims, Mrs. Alice Gideon, Mrs. Ray Pickett and Mr. Harry Gideon of Newark, Okla., Mrs. Cora Sorell, Denver, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Charles French, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jaquith, Mr. Albert Henry Jr., Mrs. A.A. Patterson, Mrs. John Lewis, Mrs. Floyd Cless, Mrs. C.L. Stalker, Mrs. Ethel Somers of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Worthing, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Johnson of Belvue; and Mr. and Mrs. Ward of Silver Lake.
