    AUGUST S. PARR

    August S. Parr, 61, of the U.S. rehabilitation service, died Wednesday night in a Topeka hospital where he had been confined after a severe heart attack last week.

    He was born February 3, 1894, in Rossville and was a teacher in the Rossville schools before moving to Topeka 17 years ago.

    He was a member of the Rossville Masonic Lodge, Topeka Scottish Rite bodies and the Lowman Memorial Methodist church.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Parr, of the home, 834 Jewell, Topeka; a son, Col. Stanley Parr, Hampton, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Parr, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Wehry, Topeka, and Blanche Parr, Rossville; two brothers, Glenn Parr, Kansas City, Mo., and Lester Parr, Silver Lake; and four grandchildren.
