    Larry Charles Parr
    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Larry Charles Parr, 51, Virginia Beach, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991, at a Norfolk hospital. He had cancer.

    Mr. Parr served 23 years in the Navy including service during the Vietnam War before he retired at the rank of chief petty officer. He later was a supervisor for NORSHIP Co.

    He was born Dec. 23, 1939, at Rossville, Kan., the son of Joe Dave and Donic Patton Parr.

    His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Parr, survives.

    Other survivors include three sons, Larry C. Parr Jr., Andrew B. Parr and Thayne B. Parr, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Jeannine Thompson, Dover, Kan., and Joleen Parr, Rossville, Kan.; and three brothers, Thane Parr, Rossville, Kan., David Parr, Topeka, Kan., and Clyde Parr, Ottawa, Kan.

    Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home- Kempsville Chapel. Military graveside services will be conducted by a detail from the Norfolk Naval Base at 2 p.m. Monday in Meadowbrooke Memorial Gardens at Suffolk. Family and friends will meet from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
