| Obituary- Parr, Minnie Minnie B. Parr
Mrs. Minnie B. Parr, 76, passed away Sunday morning, at her home near Rossville after a brief illness.
Minnie Kelsey Parr was born near Terre Haute Indiana, Oct. 26, 1869. She moved to Kansas at an early age, her family settling near Topeka where she grew to young womanhood.
She was married to Josiah A. Parr on November 25, 1888. The day after their marriage they moved to the farm which has been her home her entire married life.
Mr. Parr passed away August 11, 1944.
To this union was born five children, of whom three survive her. They are, Shirley O. John D. and Joe Parr. She was preceded in death by Catherine and Charles F.
She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, March 29, at 2 o’clock at the home, with the Rev. W. E. Dull of Topeka, officiating.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Ruth Hesse and Mrs. Mildred Berry.
The pallbearers were Leroy Parr, Duane Parr, Nathaniel Parr, Glen Parr, Marlin Harth and Joe D. Parr. Burial was in Rossville cemetery.
Mrs. and Mrs. Wayne Miller and little son of Tacoma, Wash., arrived in Rossville, Wednesday night called by the death of her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Parr.
The following out-of-town relatives and friends were in Rossville, today (Thursday) to attend the funeral service of Mrs. Minnie Parr. Melvin Kelsey, Mrs. Minnie Pugh, Walter Welton, Mrs. Frank Welton, [ia] Welton, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Parr, Mrs. Grace Whery, Duane Parr, Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Parr and children, Mr. and Mrs. C. Kincaid, Mr. and Mrs. John Pratt, Lester Parr, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Miller, Dudley Pratt, Mrs. Ralph Grant, Mrs. Roy Hawks, Mrs. [Bert] Welch, Mrs. Edith Lang, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Harth and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller and Billy Wayne.
