Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Keller, Delia, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary by holding open house Sunday, March 8, at their farm home north of Delia.
Relatives and friends are invited to call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. The couple request no gifts.
Hosts for the occasion will be the couple’s children: Philip W. Keller, John Vernon Keller, Mrs. Geneva Fairbanks, Mrs. Naomi Sumner, Delia, and Mrs. Wanda Parr, Rossville. They have 13 grandchildren.
Mr. Lindsay Vance Keller and Miss Emma Mullinix drove from the Cross Creek district to Holton in a spring wagon, accompanied by Miss Gladys King and Mr. Levi Keller, and were united in marriage at the home of Rev. S. A. Fulton, Presbyterian pastor. They lived six years in the Cross Creek district, then moved to their farm at Delia, where they have lived 44 years.

 | Anniversary- Keller, Lin and Emma 3 Kellers Celebrate 60th Anniversary
The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Lin and Emma Keller, gathered in their home in Rossville, Ks., to honor this couple on their 60th anniversary on Sunday, March 3. The family tree includes five children (pictured with their parents), thirteen grandchildren, and (to date) five great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Keller were married in Holton, Ks., on March 4, 1914. Their attendants were Mr. Levi Keller and Miss Gladys King (McDaniel). They spent most of their married life on their farm northeast of Delia until their retirement nearly six years ago.

Leroy and Wanda Parr, Delia, will be guests of honor at a SURPRISE reception in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Governor’s Row House, 811 S.W. Buchanan, Topeka.
Hosts will be their children, Jane Parr, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Janice and Louie Nash, Arlington, TX, KelLee Parr, Topeka; and their grandchildren, Bo and Elizabeth Nash, Arlington, TX.
Leroy Parr, Rossville, and Wanda Keller, Delia, were married December 28,1946, in Topeka. Mr. Parr fanned in the Rossville and Delia communities until he retired in 1986. He operates a small cattle herd. Mrs. Pan worked for Petro Surgical Supply of Topeka and, after retiring, worked part time as a receptionist for Carriger & Carriger Optical, Rossville.

A surprise reception is planned to honor Leroy and Wanda Parr of Delia in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The reception will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Governor's Row House, 811 S.W. Buchanan, Topeka.
It will be hosted by their children, Jane Parr, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; Janice and Louie Nash, Arlington, Texas; and Kellee Parr, Topeka. The couple have two grandchildren.
Leroy C. Parr and Wanda J. Keller were married Dec. 28, 1946, in Topeka. They have lived in the Rossville-Delia area throughout their lives.
Mr. Parr is a retired farmer. Mrs. Parr worked for many years for Petro Surgical Supply in Topeka and retired as a receptionist for Carriger optical in Rossville.
Their children request no gifts be given.

Wanda June (Keller) Parr, 84, Topeka, passed away December 17, 2009 at Topeka Adult Care Center.
She was born February 14, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Linn and Emma Keller of Delia. She graduated from Nieve Grade School and from Delia High School in 1943.
Mrs. Parr lived in the Delia and Rossville communities the majority of her life. She was a farm wife as well as worked many years at Petro’s Surgical Supply in Topeka where she was a trained brace fitter. After retiring, she worked part-time as a receptionist for Carriger’s Eye Doctors, Rossville.
Mrs. Parr was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church and later the Delia Presbyterian Church. She served as an elder, was a
Sunday school teacher, and taught Vacation Bible School. Upon moving to Topeka in 1998, she joined Westside Christian Church.
She was a member of Eastern Star at Rossville. Mrs. Parr was a 4-H community project leader for both the Rossville Rustlers and I Delia Earlybirds 4-H Clubs. She grew up loving sports, especially softball. She loved bowling, playing cards with her neighbors, and traveling. She was a great cook and exceptional seamstress. She also loved spending time with her family, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She married Leroy Charles Parr on December 28, 1946. He passed away in 2002. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Parr, Ponte Verde Beach, FL and Janice (Louie) Nash, Arlington, TX; son, KelLee Parr, Topeka; sister, Naomi Sumner, Topeka; and grandchildren, Bo Nash and Elizabeth (Gabe) Williams, all of Arlington, TX. She was preceded in death by her brothers Phillip and John Vernon Keller; and a sister Geneva Fairbanks.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd in Topeka. Burial will follow at the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Parr will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
