Mr. and Mrs. Jess Pauley will observe their 60th wedding anniversary today. No celebration is planned as Mr. Pauley is a patient in the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Pauley were married Feb. 16, 1915 and lived or farm west of Westmoreland for 19 years. They have been residents of Shawnee County since 1938 and moved to Topeka in September, 1973.
They have one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Ensley, four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

Ida Evelyn Pauley, 95, Topeka, died Monday, Jan. 24, 1994, at a Topeka nursing home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1898, at Beattie, the daughter of Swedish Immigrants, Nels Eric and Brita C. Anderson Peterson. She had lived at Westmoreland, Silver Lake, Dover and Rossville before she moved to Topeka in 1973.
Mrs. Pauley was a member of Jimmie Lillard Unit No. 31 of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rossville, Pottawatomie County Helping Hands, Rossville Golden Agers, Haskell Creek Club in Dover and Dover Ladies Aid.
She was married to Jess T. Pauley Feb. 16, 1915, at Seneca. He died Jan. 8, 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Ensley, Topeka; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Union Cemetery at Beattie. Mrs. Pauley will lie in state after noon today at the mortuary where family and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Foundation for Crippled Children, 3500 W. 10th, 66604; or The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 599, 66601.
