| Marriage- Conner, Nancy-Pelfrey, Randall Conner-Pelfrey Couple Married at Rossville May 26
Nancy Dell Conner and Randall Gene Pelfrey exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, May 26, 1979, at 2 p.m. in the Rossville Christian Church. The double ring ceremony was performed by Robert I. Sieh, minister of the Church.
The couples’ parents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Rice, Jr., Maple Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gene Pelfrey, Rossville.
Nancy chose a gown of organza in classic white. A garden of floral Venice lace enhanced the fitted bodice and adorned the Queen Anne neckline. More lace detailed the bishop sleeves that were finished at the wrist by petite puffs of lace. The full skirt fell from the raised waist to floor length where a triple band of lace finished the hem and swept back to outline the chapel train. A mantilla-style veil of illusion edged in matching lace of the gown completed her wedding attire.
The matron of honor was Judy O’Neil, Pasadena, Calif., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Martha Cook, Corpus Christi, Tex., sister of the bride; Elaine Watson, Ft. Smith, Ark., cousin of the bride; and Carol Ronnebaum, Rossville. Junior bridesmaid was Lisa Pelfrey, Rossville, sister of the groom.
Best man was Terry Ronnebaum, Rossville. Groomsmen were Wilbur Stum, Jr., Rossville; Terry Conner, Maple Hill, brother of the bride; and Roger Page, Rossville. Junior groomsman was Leslie Pelfrey, Rossville, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Vern Gannon and David Sharp, Rossville, and Stephen Conner and Jerry Conner, Maple Hill, both brothers of the bride.
After the reception at the American Legion Hall, an outdoor dinner was held at the Pelfrey residence.
Mrs. Pelfrey is a graduate of Wabaunsee High School, Alma, and Kaw Area Vo-Tech School, Topeka. She is employed by Maichel Business Service, Topeka.
Mr. Pelfrey is a graduate of Rossville High School, Rossville, attended Beloit Vo-Tech School, Beloit, and is employed by G & G Electric Co., Inc., Rossville.
After a honeymoon in New Orleans, La., the couple is at home in Rossville.
