Betty Jane Pence, 90, Topeka, passed away Monday,
November 3,2014.
She was born February 11, 1924, in Silver Lake, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Blanche (Baird) Davis. She graduated from Rossville High School.
Betty was a bookkeeper for Pence's Grocery Store & Stormont-Vail Hospital.
Mrs. Pence was a member of the Lowman United Methodist Church. Betty married Clyde W. Pence on September 4, 1942 in Galveston, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include children, Judy (John) Badger, Craig (Patty) Pence; brother, Dale Davis; grandsons, Brock (Tiffaney) and Brett Badger; great-grandsons, Gavin Badger and Hunter Richardson.
Betty enjoyed music and Kansas State athletics. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel - Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
