| Obituary- Pence, Lula LULA HOLCOMB PENCE
Mrs. Lula Holcomb Pence, 83, Topeka, died Sunday, May 9, 1982, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born August 21, 1898, at Rossville, the daughter of Isaac and Lucy Bush Mitchell. She had lived in the area most of her life on the family farm.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of Loyal Chapter #176 Order of the Eastern Star, was a past worthy matron, and had served two years as president. Mrs. Pence also served as secretary-treasurer of the First District of the Auxiliary.
She was a charter member of the Community Club of Silver Lake.
She married Alle Earl Holcomb on November 24, 1917, at Oklahoma City. He died in 1967. She later was married to W. T. Pence for 10 years. He died in 1979.
Sole survivor is a nephew, Stan Mitchell, Silver Lake.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in the Silver Lake Cemetery. Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted by Loyal Chapter #176. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Division of the American Heart Association, 5229 W. 7th, Topeka, Ks. 66606.
