    Alvin J. Perry
    ALVIN J. PERRY DIES OF INJURIES
    Alvin Joseph Perry, Junction City, a Kansas Power and Light Company lineman, died Sunday morning in a hospital here from injuries suffered June 17 in a power line accident. He was 46.

    The accident occurred when he was working near the top of a pole and came in contact with a high voltage wire, igniting his clothing. He was burned severely on the upper portion of his body.

    Born October 16, 1916 at St. Marys, he had lived in Junction City about four years, moving here from Rossville.

    Mr. Perry was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Rossville and First Methodist Church, Junction City.

    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; one son, Kyle Perry, and two daughters, Mrs. Myrna Peabody, and Miss Lois Ann Perry, all of Junction City; his mother, Mrs. Ellen Perry, St. Marys; three sisters, Mrs. Lila Struble, St. Marys, and Mrs. Glora Lee James and Mrs. Delores Martin, both of Derby, Colo., and five brothers; George, Altus, Okla., Milton, Rossville, Clayton, St. Marys, Leo, Ulysses, and Paul, Route 1, Topeka.

    Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Masonic Lodge No. 111, Rossville, will perform graveside rites in Silver Lake Cemetery.

    CARD OF THANKS – The family of Alvin J. Perry wish to express their appreciation to their friends and relatives for the get well cards sent to the hospital. Our many thanks for the cards of sympathy and beautiful flowers sent after his death.
