A resident of the St. Marys community most of her life, Mrs. Ellen Perry, 81, died Monday, Oct. 31, in a nursing home here following a long illness.
Born Jan. 15, 1885, at St. Marys, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was married to Charles Perry on Jan. 3, 1905, at St. Marys; he preceded her in death July 5, 1960.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Alvin Perry, June 30, 1963.
Survivors include five sons: George E., of Altus, Okla.; Milton, of Rossville; Clayton, St. Marys; Paul, of near Topeka; Leo, of De Soto;
Three daughters: Mrs. Lila Struble, St. Marys; Mrs. Glora Lee Riddle, Mrs. Delores June Marten, both of Denver; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday morning from the Immaculate Conception Church, with interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers: George Schoemann, Cletus Reding, Charles McGuire, Bob Meyer, Wayne Salisbury, Roy Perry of Neodesha.
