Charles A. “Chuck" Persons, 55, of Topeka, passed away at his home December 15, 2005.
Chuck was born in Holton, Ks. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War after graduating from Soldier High School in 1968.
Chuck never knew a stranger. He will be remembered for his quick wit and contagious laughter. He was always the life of the party. Chuck’s last months were made happier by the time he spent with his son David, and his special friends, Cindy and Shelbie.
Survivors include: one son, David Persons; one sister, Karra Lee Magnett; four brothers, Bill, Mike, Bob, and Randy Persons; and one step-sister, Margie Persons. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie; his parents, Helen and Glen Ellis, and Gene and Reva Persons.
A memorial service for Chuck will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2005 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Attn: Development Office, 1023 15th St., N.W., Suite 200, Washington D.C. 20005.
