    Obituary- Petit, Larry
    Larry D. Petit, 81, of Rossville, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1930 in Salina, Kansas to Gerald "Bo" and Florence "Flo" Petit.

    Larry graduated from Marquette High School. He was a U.S. Marine veteran that served during the Korean War. Larry was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Arab Shrine Temple. He retired from DuPont where he was a mechanic. He later worked for Flexel as a contractor.

    On February 20, 1960 he married Sharon Selbach in Kansas City. She survives. Larry is also survived by his children, Michael (Deborah) of St. Louis, MO, Suzanne Petit of Topeka and Dan (Julie) Petit of Berryton, his sister, Ruth Murphy of Louisiana, four grandchildren, Amber, Joseph, Ryan and Cory and one great grandchild, Parker.

    At his request, there will be no services and no flowers, a card would be appreciated. His legacy will be his love and joy that he freely and naturally gave to so many. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Arab Shrine Childrens Hospital Travel Fund, 1305 S. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66612.
