One death, dozens of wrecks blamed on snow and ice
Snowy and icy roads which caused one fatal accident on a Shawnee County bridge near Willard, kept authorities busy Friday night handling one car wreck after another.
A Topeka man in his 30s was killed in a two-vehicle accident around 4:30 p.m. when he lost control of his two-door car on the icy Willard Bridge and slammed head on into a southbound pickup truck, Sheriff Dave Meneley said.
