Earl B. Prater
ROSSVILLE - Earl B. Prater, 79, Rossville, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, at a Manhattan nursing home.
Mr. Prater was a retired farmer.
He was born Jan. 1, 1907, at Cottle, Ky., the Son of Hezikiah and Linnie Cottle Prater. He moved with his parents to the Rossville community at an early age.
Mr. Prater was a member of the Christian Church and an associate member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both at Rossville.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Opal Montgomery, Fontana, Calif.; and two brothers, Ray Prater, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Omar Prater, Denver, Colo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Rossville. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
Mt. Prater will lie in state after 9 a.m. Friday at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys and an hour before service time Saturday at the church. Relatives and friends will meet from 7:30 until 8.30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville.

Earl B. Prater, 79, Rossville, died Tuesday, August 26, 1986, at a Manhattan nursing home.

He was born January 1, 1907, at Cottle, Ky., the son of Hezekiah and Linnie Cottle Prater. He moved with his parents to the Rossville community at an early age.
