| Obituary- Prater, Hezekiah Hezekial (Ky) Prater passed
away Saturday evening, Nov. 23. He had been in very poor health the past year, and became worse three weeks ago and has been in intensive care until he passed away. Ky as he was known to his friends was a very friendly and gentle person. He never met a stranger, he was a friend to everyone. If any one needed help he was the first one there. He was born July 3, 1879 at West Liberty Kentucky. He has lived in Rossville Community 61 years. He was a Veteran of the Spanish-American War. He was a member of the Rossville Christian Church and the American Legion Post, both of Rossville. He is survived by his widow, Linnie Prater of the home. Two daughters Mrs. Gladys Skidmore of Dalhart, Texas, and Mrs. Opal Montgomery of Fontana, Calif., and five sons Earl Prater of Rossville, Roy Prater, Alamogordo, N.M., Ray Prater of Sunnyvale, Calif, Russell Prater of Spokane, Wash, and Omar prater of Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at Rossville Christian Church.
