| Marriage- Mitchell, Juanita-Pratt, Merritt Announcement were received here last week by relatives giving the news of the marriage of Miss Juanita Mitchell, to Mr. Merritt C. Pratt at Wichita, Kansas. The wedding occurred on Saturday, February 23. Mr. and Mrs. Pratt will make their home at Wichita. The bride is a former Rossville girl, having been reared in this community and received her schooling in the Rossville schools. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell. |

| Obituary- Pratt, Juanita JUANITA MITCHELL PRATT
Juanita Mitchell Pratt passed away in the Billings Memorial hospital in Chicago, July 11, 1935. She was born in Junction City, Kansas, Aug. 29, 1902.
She lived in Rossville and graduated from the High school in 1919.
After her marriage to Merritt C. Pratt of Lake Forest, Ill., Feb. 23, 1924, she made her home in Chicago.
Mrs. Pratt was a member of the Buena Memorial Presbyterian church where she has taken an active part in the church Guild. She was a teacher and secretary in the Beginners’ Dept. at Sunday school.
She was a member of the Marshall Field’s Woman club.
Mrs. Pratt is survived by her husband Merritt and little daughter Jule of Chicago; her mother, Mrs. Leota Owens of Richland; a brother Riley Mitchell of Kansas City; two grandmothers, Mrs. Mellory Richland and Mrs. Eliza Mitchell of Rossville.
Funeral services were held Monday July 15, from Schatz funeral chapel and burial in Rosehill cemetery in Chicago.
