    Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rasch, Belvue, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 30, with open house at their country home.

    No invitations are being issued, but friends and relatives are asked to call from 2 to 5 p.m. The couple asks that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. and Mrs. Rasch have spent most of their fifty years in Wabaunsee county where they have been engaged in farming.

    They have one child, Mr. Marion Rasch, Rossville; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Rasch of Rossville will be hosts for the reception.

    Benjamin F. Rasch
    Benjamin F. Rasch, 86, Wamego, died late Wednesday, August 24, 1983, at a Wamego hospital where he had been a patient one day.

    Mr. Rasch worked for Rock Island
    Lines until about 1918 and later was a farmer.

    He was born February 17, 1897, at
    Fairbury, Nebr., the son of Fred and Anna Hohonsee Rasch. He lived in an Alma nursing home several years.

    Mr. Rasch lived near Rossville until
    1950 when he moved to a farm in the Wells Creek community south of Belvue.

    He was a member of Immanuel United
    Church of Christ in the Wells Creek community and Hesperian Lodge No. 111, AF&AM, Rossville.

    He was married to Minnie S. Seele February 1, 1917, at Wamego. She survives. A son, Marion C. Rasch, died September 7, 1981.

    Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lula Kline, Wichita; a brother, Edward Rasch, Arkansas City; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

    Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Wells Creek community. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Relatives and friends met from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Wells Creek community.
