    Mr. and Mrs. Ben Rasch, Belvue, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 30, with open house at their country home.

    No invitations are being issued, but friends and relatives are asked to call from 2 to 5 p.m. The couple asks that no gifts be presented.

    Mr. and Mrs. Rasch have spent most of their fifty years in Wabaunsee county where they have been engaged in farming.

    They have one child, Mr. Marion Rasch, Rossville; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Rasch of Rossville will be hosts for the reception.

    Minnie Rasch
    WAMEGO — Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Stewart Funeral Home here for Minnie Rasch, 96, formerly of Wamego, who died Monday, Feb. 22, 1993 at an Athens, Ga., nursing home.

    Mrs. Rasch and her husband farmed in the Wells Creek community from 1950 until he died. They formerly farmed in the Rossville community.

    She was born Feb. 1, 1897, in Delia, the daughter of Charles and Minnie Zoup Seele. She moved to Wamego after her husband died, later lived with a granddaughter, Carla Rasch, in Lawrence, then moved to Athens, six years ago to live with a grandson, Wayne Rasch.

    Mrs. Rasch was a member of Wells Creek United Church of Christ, the Dorcas Circle of the church, Kaw Social Club, Senior Citizens at Wamego and Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 of the Order of Eastern Star in Rossville.

    She was married to Ben Rasch on Feb. 1, 1917, in Wamego. He died Aug. 24, 1983. A son, Marion Charles Rasch, died Sept. 7, 1981.

    Survivors include three sisters, Lena Lippencott, Wamego, and Laura Lohman and Alice Durkee, both of Topeka; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great- great-granddaughter.

    Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Rasch will lie in state from 9 a.m. Friday until service time Saturday at the funeral home, where family and friends will meet from 7 p.m. until 3 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Wells Creek United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
