Mrs. Ella F. Reaser, 80, Topeka, died Saturday, October 18, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born October 21, 1899, at Mayetta, the daughter of Andrew and Kate McGinnis Failer. She spent most of her life in Topeka after she moved from Delia in 1922.
Mrs. Reaser taught school at Hoyt. After she moved to Topeka she as a cook and owned and operated a restaurant near the Topeka Police Department. She later was cook for the jail prisoners until she retired in 1960.
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, St. Patrick's Circle, Assumption Guild, Legion of Mary and St. Vincent's Guild, all of the church and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center Auxiliary.
She married Harry Reaser in April 1921, in Topeka. He died July 29, 1951. A son, Keith Reaser, died in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Cleda McFeeters, Topeka; a son, Kenneth Reaser, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, Topeka; and Mrs. Margarete Berclaz, Los Angeles;14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Catholic church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Brennan Funeral Home i s in charge of Arrangement. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka 66611.

Services will be at 10 a m. Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Reaser will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan Funeral Home. Rosaries to be recited include St. Vincent’s Guild at 3 p.m., Legion of Mary at 6:15 p.m., St. Francis Auxiliary at 6:30 p.m., Daughters of Isabella at 7 p.m., and parish rosary at 7:30 p.m., all at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, Topeka, 66611.
