| Obituary- Reding, Edward Edward Joseph ‘Ed’ Reding
Edward Joseph “Ed” Reding, 73, Topeka, died Monday, Feb. 10, 1992, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Reding was a heavy equipment operator for Shawnee Construction Co., operating out of Kansas City. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Rossville, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Treiber Reding.
Mr. Reding was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650, Disabled American Veterans, Kansas National Guard and Local No. 101 of the Operating Engineers Union.
He was married to Margaret McClelland April 30, 1949, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Love, Austin, Texas; a son, Richard Reding, Eudora; a sister, Margaret Royal, Clinton, Mo., and’ three grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brennan Funeral Home. Philip Billard V. F.W. Post No. 1650 will conduct graveside services at Maple Hill Cemetery in Maple Hill. Mr. Reding will lie in state from 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brennan Funeral Home where relatives and friends will meet from 5 until 8 p.m. and a parish rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
