    Mrs. Helena E. Reding
    Mrs. Helena E. Reding, 76, Rossville, died Saturday, May 21, 1988, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mrs. Reding was a librarian for the Rossville Community Library several years. She taught at northeast Kansas schools several years.

    She was born June 23, 1911, at Belvue, the daughter of Samuel and Catherine J. Kramer Hesse. She moved to St. Marys from Rossville in 1961. She returned to Rossville in 1971.

    Mrs. Reding was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville.

    She married Cletus A. Reding Dec. 27, 1937, at St. Marys. He died Sept. 20, 1985.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mary Mayer. Rossville; two sisters, Marie Perry and Cecilia Schumaker, both of St. Marys; and a grandchild.

    Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Reding will lie in state after 4 p.m. today at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Community Library.
