    JOHN T. REEDY
    John T. Reedy, 89, formerly of 924 N. Van Buren, Topeka, died Friday evening, August 26, 1977, at a Topeka care home following a short illness.

    He was born March 4, 1884, in Herkimer in Marshall County. He was a resident of Delia most of his life, and moved to Topeka in 1948 from Grove.

    He was employed at Forbes Feed and Seed Co. in Topeka, before he retired in 1966. He was a member of Northland Christian Church.

    He married Elizabeth Day on December 21, 1915, in Manhattan. She died June 9, 1972. A daughter, Dortha Reedy, died in 1919.

    Survivors include a son, Robert Reedy, Topeka; a daughter, Maurine Griffith, Silver Lake; a brother, Albert Reedy, Manhattan; three sisters, Pearl Ringer, Riley; Adelia Shelby, San Jacinto, Calif., and Margaret Osborne, Cypress, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

    The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary. Burial was in Prairie Home Cemetery.

    John T. Reedy

Riley, Adelia Shelby, San Jacinto, Calif., and Margaret Osborne, Cypress, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Mr. Reedy will lie in state after noon Saturday at the mortuary. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
