SILVER LAKE – Edna Mae Renyer, 93, Silver Lake, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001 at a Rossville care home.
She was born May 7, 1908, in Burlingame, to William and Jennie Irene Burns Masters, and she attended rural schools near Burlingame. She had lived in Silver Lake since 1982.
She attended the United Methodist Church in Silver Lake and was a member of the Community Club, Senior Citizens and XYZ Club, all in Silver Lake. She was a former member of a Home Demonstration Unit.
She married Jesse Albert Renyer on Nov. 23, 1927, in Topeka. They lived on a farm east of Silver Lake for 44 years. He died April 30, 1978. A daughter, Charlotte Ann Hernandez, died July 26, 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessie Lee Stehlin, Silver Lake; a brother, Albert Masters, Burlingame; a sister, Emma Dorr, Osage City; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka. Mrs. Renyer will like in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
