    Mr. Albert Reser and Mrs. Fannie Silvers were married the first of the week and will spend a short honeymoon at Excelsior Springs, Mo., according to town gossip this week. Relatives were unable to furnish any particulars and the Reporter in presenting the report is undecided whether to offer congratulations or to prepare to apologize for printing a premature announcement of this expected event.

    Albert Reser
    Albert Reser, 81, retired farmer who had lived in the Rossville community about 70 years, died Monday noon while sitting in his car on Main street. Mrs. Reser had just completed some shopping and returned to the car when he succumbed to a heart attack.
    He was born November 23, 1868, in Indiana, coming to this community when a young boy.
    He was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian church.
    Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Fannie Reser, of the home; two brothers, Chris Reser of Holton, and Will Reser of St. Marys; two sisters, Mrs. Grover Kesler, of Rossville and Mrs. Minta McMillan of Long Beach, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Benjamin Rundus officiating assisted by Dr. H. L. Nelson of Topeka.
    Music was furnished by Mrs. O. S. Boyd and Mrs. Marlin Harth, with Mrs. Maxine Trible accompanying at the piano.
    Pall bearers were, Messrs. Harry Gutshall, Joe Parr, Joe Gresser, Roy Wilt, Homer Reid, and Lance Jamieson.
    Burial was in the Rossville City cemetery.
    CARD OF THANKS – We wish to thank our kind friends and neighbors for helpfulness in the last rites of our loved one, Albert Reser; for the many acts of kindness and sympathy shown. To those who assisted with the music and especially do we thank the pallbearers, and those sending the beautiful floral offerings.
    Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Jamieson, of Mission, Kansas, Mrs. Gladys Hook, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Flanagan of Topeka were among the relatives here Wednesday of last week to attend the funeral of their uncle, Albert Reser.
    Mrs. Margaret Witter of Topeka, was in Rossville Wednesday to attend the funeral service for Albert Reser.
    Mrs. and Mrs. Earl Doty, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Anderson of Topeka, were in Rossville Wednesday to attend the funeral of their uncle, Albert Reser.
    The following out-of-town relatives in Rossville Wednesday to attend the funeral services of Albert Reser, were: Mr. and Mrs. Chris Reser, Holton; Mr. and Mrs. Will Reser, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Reser and family of St. Marys; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reser, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Doty, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Warren McGann, Zack Reser, Art Reser of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Otis Compton, Richland; Mr. and Mrs. Eston Page, Mr. William Page, Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mulanux, Hoyt; Mrs. Lily Webb, Topeka.
