| Obituary- Reser, Faye Faye Reser
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel for Faye Reser, 92, formerly of Topeka. She died Friday, July 3, 1998, in Grass Valley, Calif.
Mrs. Reser was the first woman hired at Hill Packing Co., where she worked until she retired in 1971. She earlier had been a co-owner of the Talk of the Town Dinner Club in the 1950s.
She was born Jan. 16, 1906, at Scranton, the daughter of John and Clara Burkhardt.
Mrs. Reser was a member of the Third Christian Church in Topeka and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Joe Reser. He died in 1991. Mrs. Reser also was preceded in death by a son, Dalbert "Smoky" Reser, in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Cleo Arnold, Grass Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery south of Scranton. Mrs. Reser will lie in state after 8 a.m. today at the funeral chapel where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
