    Franklin L. “Bud” Reser
    Franklin L. “Bud” Reser, 81, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at his home.
    Mr. Reser was a machinist for the Santa Fe Railway for 42 years before he retired in 1977.
    He was born May 8, 1915, in Topeka, the son of Wiett and Fannie Shank Reser. He attended Topeka schools and was a lifelong Topekan.
    Mr. Reser was a member of the International Association of Machinists No. 768 and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
    He married Catherine L. Flanagan April 5, 1945, in Emmett. She survives.
    Other survivors include two sons, Gary L. Reser and Greg L. Reser, both of Topeka; a sister, Jannette Harry, Topeka; and four grandchildren.
    A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka, followed by visitation. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cem¬etery.
