    DELAINE REZAC
    Delaine Rezac, 86, died Jan. 3, 2006 at his home at St. Marys. He was born Oct. 8,1919 near Emmett, the son of Godfrey A. and Rose Schoemann Rezac.

    Delaine graduated from Emmett High School in 1938, worked on area farms, then was a meat cutter for a store in St. Marys. He married Phyllis Hershey, May 2, 1942. She survives.

    Delaine a, Phyllis established Rezac Livestock Commission Co., St. Marys, May 7, 19^7. They have operated the business along with their three sons until the present. He has been a packer buyer and was a livestock dealer for 60 years. He was a part of the Rezac Land and Cattle Co. family farm operation.

    Delaine served on the St. Marys High School Board. He was affiliated with the St. Marys United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Livestock Marketing Association, Kansas Livestock Association and the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold Rezac and daughter-in-law Patricia Rezac.

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister Maxine Flanary, three sons and their families; Kenneth and Christina Rezac, Lynn Rezac, Dennis and Nancy Rezac, all of St. Marys. Grandchildren include Holly Grieb, Deanne Liska, Cindy Rezac, Dustin Rezac and Darcie Rezac. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step- great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were at the St. Marys United Methodist Church, Friday, Jan. 6. Piper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
