    Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Fauerbach were very agreeably surprised, Sunday, by some of the relatives. The occasion was their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, and also Mrs. Fauerbach’s birthday anniversary. Their son and daughter presented them with a huge cake decorated with white roses and silver leaves.     Mr. James Rezac, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rezac living northwest of Rossville and Miss Evelyn Fauerbach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.D. Fauerbach, of the same neighborhood secured a license to wed at Holton last week. Both young people are graduates of the Rossville high school, the bride with this year's class.

    Mr. and Mrs. James Rezac were pleasantly surprised on their 33rd wedding anniversary May 28 by their neighbors and friends who presented them with a gift.

    Refreshments of wedding cafe and ice cream were served by Linda and Virginia Rezac, Judy Hoy and Steve Johnson of Topeka.

Rezac and family, Mrs. Mabel Fauerbach, Mrs. Elsie Me Collough, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McCollough and family.

    Rezacs to Celebrate Golden Anniversary

    Mr. and Mrs. James E. Rezac, Rossville, will celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 17, 1979, with a reception in their honor from 2 to 4 P.M. in the Rossville Presbyterian Church. The occasion will be hosted by their daughters, Mrs. John Dayton and Mrs. David Foster, and their families.

    Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.

    Mr. and Mrs. James E. Rezac will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 4 at the Rossville Presbyterian Church.

    The reception will be given by their children: Mr. and Mrs. David Foster, Rossville; and Mr. and Mrs. John Dayton, Overland Park.

    Mr. and Mrs. Rezac were married May 28, 1929 in Holton. They have four grandchildren.

    ROSSVILLE — Services for Evelyn M. Rezac, 87, Rossville, have been re-scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery.

    She died Friday, March 6, 1998, at a Topeka hospital.

    ROSSVILLE — Evelyn M. Rezac, 87 Rossville, died Friday, March 6, 1998 at a Topeka hospital.

    Mrs. Rezac and her husband farmed near Rossville for many years. She also served on the Rossville Grade School Board and was chairman for several years.

    She was born Aug. 18, 1910, at Maple Hill, the daughter of Lewis D. and Mable M. Kesler Fauerbach. She was raised at maple Hill and was graduated from Rossville High School in 1929.

    Mrs. Rezac was a member of Rossville Presbyterian Church, the Rossville Literary
    and Music Club, Rossville Senior Citizens, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

    She married James B. Rezac on May 28,
    1929, at Holton. He died Dec. 19, 1989.

    Survivors include two daughters, Linda
    L. Dayton, Bella Vista, Ark., and Virginia K.
    Foster, Rossville; a brother, John Fauerbach, Rossville; and four grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the
    Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Rezac will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home at St. Marys, where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville Presbyterian Church or to the Rossville Community Library and sent in care of the funeral home.

    Evelyn M. Rezac
    Evelyn M. Rezac, 87, Rossville, died Friday, March 6, 1998 at a Topeka hospital.

    She was born August 18,1910, at Maple Hill, the daughter of Lewis D. and Mable M. Kesler Fauerbach.

    She had lived in the Rossville community many years. She grew up in the Maple Hill community and was graduated from Rossville High School in 1929. She farmed with her husband James near Rossville for many years. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, and the United Presbyterian Women at the church. She taught Sunday School at the church for many years. She was a member of the Rossville Literary and Music Club, and the Rossville Senior Citizens. She had served on the Rossville Grade School board, and was chairwoman for several years. She had been a 4-H leader. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, first with the Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 in Rossville, and later with Loyal Chapter No. 176 at Silver Lake. She had Worthy Matron in 1951, and was District Aide in 1955.

    She was married to James E.
    Rezac on May 28, 1929, at Holton. He died December 19,1989.

    Survivors include two daughters, Linda L. Dayton, Bella Vista, AR, and Virginia K. Foster, Rossville; a brother, John Fauerbach, Rossville; three grandsons and one granddaughter.

    Her service will be Tuesday (today) at 10:00 a.m. at the Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Piper-Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, is in charge of arrangements.
