    Mrs. Lucinda Rice

    Mrs. Lucinda Rice, 100, Silver Lake, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. She was born September 29, 1858, in Ohio, and had lived in the Silver Lake community 41 years.

    She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Dora Major, Silver Lake, and Mrs. E.L. Derth, Topeka; a son, Homer Childress, Topeka; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were at 2 pm Saturday at the Silver Lake Methodist Church with burial in Prairie Home Cemetery. Parker Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
