    Philander Rice
    Dies in Holton
    HOLTON —Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Mercer Funeral Home here for Philander S. Rice, 65, Route 1, Mayetta, who died Friday in a Holton hospital where he was admitted Thursday after he was injured in a one-car accident on a county road about three miles southeast of Mayetta. Burial will be in Mayetta Cemetery.

    He was born August 14, 1902 at Mayetta and spent most of his life in the Mayetta community.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lola Rice, at home; a brother, Orville Rice, 2124 Kansas, Topeka; five half-brothers, Marlin Lundin, 108 W. Hampton and Frank Lundin, 526 Oakland, both in Topeka, Fred Lundin and Erick Lundin, both of Delia, and Viteal Lundin, Mayetta; and six half-sisters, Mrs. Milze Wilson and Mrs. William Walder, both of Mayetta, Mrs. Ray Lytle, 2012 Meadow Lane, and Mrs. Clyde Freeman, 1918 N. Monroe, both in Topeka, Mrs. Benedict Fox, Holton, and Mrs. Josephine Sumner, Louisville.
