| Obituary- Richards, Delbert Delbert C. Richards
Delbert C. Richards, 65, Wetmore, died Monday, March 9, 1981, near Wetmore. Officials said he suffered an apparent heart attack while cutting wood about 11 miles northwest of Wetmore in Nemaha County.
He was born January 16, 1916, at Hamlin, the son of Delbert and Rhonda Kent Richards. He moved from Topeka to Wetmore about 15 years ago.
Mr. Richards worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company at Topeka 26 years before he retired. He was a member of the Wetmore Lions Club.
He was married to Hazel I. Derr on December 24, 1940, at Seneca. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Joyce Richards, Lawrence, and Mrs. Barbara Montague, Topeka; three sons, Kenneth Lynn Richards and Roy C. Richards, both of Topeka, and Bobby D. Richards, Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Lucas, Copan, Okla., and Mrs. Jean Webb, Pinole, Calif.; a brother, James Richards, Topeka: a half-sister, Mrs. Mae Rolland, Goff; eight grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Goff.
