    John Paul Roeder
    John Paul Roeder, 72, Topeka, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Rossville Valley Manor in Rossville.

    He was born October 12,1927, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Clarence J. and Gladys Silvers Roeder. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS and from Ottawa University, Ottawa. He also graduated from Iliff Methodist School of Theology in Denver, CO, after which he served as a minister in the Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and also worked many years for the State of Kansas, Personnel Division.

    Surviving him are a daughter, Denise Lohness, Topeka; two sons, David Roeder, Topeka, and Scott Roeder, Shawnee; a brother, Clarence Roeder, Leawood; and four grandchildren.

    He was cremated. A graveside service will be at 10:00 Saturday, August 5, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3223 North 18th Street, Kansas City, KS, under direction of Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
