OSAGE CITY - Clyde H. Ross, 75, Osage City, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1989, in an Osage City nursing home.
Mr. Ross was a manager, operator, and bartender at many restaurants and clubs in the Topeka area including The Office where he was manager. He owned and operated the Shamrock nine years before he suffered a stroke in 1970.
He was born April 24, 1914, in Delia, the son of Burt and Alice Hale Ross. He lived several years in Twentynine Palms, Calif., before he moved to Osage City in 1950.
Mr. Ross was a member of the United Methodist Church in Osage City.
He married Wilma Lou Bolland Sept. 30, 1937, in Osage City. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Richard D. Ross, Osage City; a daughter, Janet Snyder, Topeka; a stepdaughter, name and address unavailable; and four grandsons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Osage City. Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery. Mr. Ross will lie in state from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Osage City.
